The Soldier's Time

Rossini Club opens its summer season with L’Histoire du Soldat, Igor Stravinsky’s haunting tale of a soldier who trades his violin to the devil in exchange for fortune, only to confront the true cost of that bargain. This work resonates today as a reflection on power, sacrifice, and the fragile line between survival and surrender. Urgent, theatrical, and sharply human, this performance sets the stage for a season that explores how we navigate a world in flux.
