Trombone

Lauren Galarraga is a versatile trombonist based in New York City, who performs many genres such as classical, jazz, salsa, reggae, and contemporary music. She graduated with a Bachelor of Trombone Performance at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and is currently attending Manhattan School of Music in the Graduate Contemporary Performance Program. Because of her wide range of capabilities, she has performed with many notable artists such as Jazzmeia Horn, Christian Alicea, and Justin Hurwitz. She helped found Ringers Brass, a Boston based Brass Sextet. Along with being a performer, she is also a composer and teacher. Her hope is to inspire other young women of color to not limit themselves to one form of expression in music.
